Exciting News! I’m now offering Fertility Awareness Classes! | Starry-Eyed Pragmatist

I have super exciting news I want to share with all of you! I decided to take the plunge and become a certified fertility awareness instructor!

I’m now offering
Fertility Awareness Classes!

As you may know, I have worked as a doula and childbirth educator in the past. I also I have over 10 years experience with lots of different Fertility Awareness Based Methods (FABMs). I have a Bachelor of Education degree and have worked in various capacities teaching, coaching, and mentoring women for the past eight years. Through my own interest and research I have developed a fairly broad knowledge of lots of different fertility awareness protocols.

So, there were a lot of instructor training programs I was looking at pursuing. Ultimately, I decided to go with Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM), because of their emphasis not only on using fertility charting for birth control or pregnancy achievement, but also on using fertility charting to better understand your cycle and manage your overall health. FEMM teaches a cervical fluid + luteinizing hormone test fertility charting protocol, however I still plan on teaching a basal body temperature (BBT) protocol to my clients if they want to chart BBT in addition to the other fertility signs.

I plan to offer women a heavily discounted rate while I am completing my certification. Please contact me to learn more.

I’ve also opted to take a set of classes with FEMM specifically geared towards teaching teen body literacy. I’m looking forward to offering teen body literacy classes that gives biologically accurate information, but also teaches that sex is a uniquely special and bonding act, which is ideally reserved for marriage.

Just to be clear, I’m still all about giving women self directed learning resources, such as the things you’ll find in this website, but I also know that some women, myself included, prefer to work directly with an instructor at times. I decided I wanted to make myself available as that resource for the women who choose to go that route. So, your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement are much appreciated as I complete the process of becoming certified!
